The
Startling Truth About CoEnzyme Q10
You probably already know that CoEnzyme Q10 is
a great nutrient you can take for your heart. It's regularly used
to treat most major heart problems, including congestive heart failure,
angina, high blood pressure, arrhythmia, mitral valve prolapse,
and more.
Hundreds of independent studies have shown how effective
CoQ10 is for heart problems. For instance:
- Japanese researchers found that about 70% of heart
patients improved on CoQ10. (No wonder 1 in 10 take it on a regular
basis.)
- Researchers found that by treating heart patients
with CoQ10, they could reduce hospitalizations by 20%.
- In another study, there was a 75% three-year survival
rate among congestive heart failure patients who took CoQ10. That's
three times the survival rate of those that did not!
And if that weren't enough, CoQ10 has been found to
boost the immune system, help reduce weight naturally, promote healthy
gum tissue, and it aids in the prevention of toxicity from drugs.
Plus, CoQ10 has recently shown remarkable promise in the treatment
of Parkinson's and memory loss.
What is CoQ10?
CoQ10 goes by many names: CoEnzyme Q10, ubiquinone,
vitamin Q. Discovered in 1957, it was first used to treat heart
disease in humans in Japan in the mid-1960's.
CoQ10 is found in all of your cells - with the highest
concentration in the heart. Your body uses it as a "spark" in the
mitochondria of your cells to produce energy.
But as you get older, or if you're sick, your body makes less and
less CoQ10. Scientist estimate that once the body levels of CoQ10
become more than 25% deficient, some disease-related conditions
may accelerate.
CoQ10 also functions as a highly effective antioxidant. It binds
to free radicals, neutralizing their negative effects on the body.
This is especially true in the heart, since it has the highest turnover
of oxygen in the body and is highly susceptible to free radical
damage.
Because of the tremendous amount of energy it uses, the heart is
your body's biggest consumer of CoQ10. In fact, one study shows
that 75% of heart patients have severe deficiencies of CoQ10 in
their tissue compared with healthy individuals.
In short, CoQ10 super-charges your heart and body by feeding
your cells with the vital fuel they need!
